We conduct research studies throughout the year on various topics that we feel are relevant and of interest to our target audience. We sent out a press release a couple of months ago featuring our data monitoring survey that received a lot of positive feedback. A note about press releases being accepted for ‘publication’ by the sites: we have (as you might expect) a lot of experience writing press releases that meet the rules laid down by various news wire services (e.g. don’t make claims about being the ‘best’ something unless you can prove it). However, not all of the sites accepted our releases, this may be because they didn’t meet the site’s editorial guidelines or for some other reason – why some sites rejected our press releases isn’t at all clear.

There are many differences between advertising and public relations and in PR, the media is not required to cover your story. You send your press releases hoping they will pick it up for their magazine, newspaper or local newscast.
Keep it Objective. Readers will respond better to a press release that gives the details of a show than they will to one that simply tells everyone how great an upcoming event is. The more objective your press release can be, the better.
An alternative is the self-published press release. In this approach, press releases are either sent directly to local newspapers or to free and paid distribution services.[7] The distribution service then provides the content, as-is, to their media outlets for publication which is usually online.

Because people aren’t perfect, telephone everyone to whom you sent releases to increase your chances of getting covered. Call your personal contacts and reporters you have worked with in the past in advance so they have more time to be free to cover you. When you follow up with the reporter, be sure to include any last minute news that was not added in your release.
As we uploaded each release, we looked for ease of use, additional complementary services, paid-for upgrades and whether registration was required to use the service. SUBSEQUENT PARAGRAPH(S): The rest of the press release should contextualize and provide additional information about the finding. Why is it exciting or unexpected? Nitty-gritty experimental details should be left out in favor of describing how the finding advances scientific knowledge, reinforces a key idea, or provides a new method. Importantly, however, the finding must not be overhyped or oversold. A brief quotation from a researcher involved in the work or from a colleague familiar with the importance of the finding can also be included, but be sure that they agree to be quoted.
State your case and do it quickly. Include a sentence or two about your news. What’s the name of the new album, what song is getting the most buzz, the name of the tour, if there is one, and any special guests or opening acts who will appear as part of the show. Paragraph two should the brisk feeling of this paragraph.
The first paragraph must explain all the W’s while the second paragraph should talk about what is the purpose of the press release, why should you care, when it will happened and where can people find it. Also, it should cover the statistics and other factual elements to make the information more genuine and authentic for the media and audience to believe.

The article said that “a specially-curated list of products from Amazon Handmade Artisans are available through Prime Now this holiday season”. The press release is expected to increase Amazon seller and Amazon Prime subscriptions, as well as sales for small businesses that sell on Amazon.
Emirates Airlines have always been known for their service quality, while flydubai is popular for low cost fares. By announcing their collaboration, both service providers benefit from gaining access to customers who would normally stay with one of the airlines. This opens up opportunities for more travel options and more flexible price points for air fares. The press release effectively relays these points to consumers and is expected to increase sales for both airlines as they gain access to a wider consumer base.
This paragraph is your details paragraph. It is here that you give background, stories, history, information, or stats. This is where you paint a picture and bring in all the other stuff you want people to know about your announcement.
