A good press release immediately grabs the reader’s attention by explaining why it’s relevant. For a product release, like the free ebook mentioned in this example, readers want to know who the intended audience is and how the product will benefit them.

The good advice from above: No attachments; avoid crying wolf (think blacklists and how your message then will never get through no matter what you do); think small; make it compelling; use spell check (and have somebody else proof read PLEASE!); avoid jargon and cliches (like the plague); become a reliable source (and never be anything but 100% honest); and short and to the point.

This piece is a unique to a product press release. If you are going to make claims about the product’s effectiveness or desirability, use the middle paragraph of the press release to back yourself up. An excellent way to do this is to include quotes from executives or users, or even to draw in statements made by shareholders.
Although free press release distribution websites may seem like an easy public relations tactic, PR experts generally recommend avoiding them or at least being extremely leery of them. Paid news distribution services offer far better results, assert PR and SEO gurus.
However, a well-timed press release on the picture put this little book of….umm…whatever…right into the limelight.  This caused the book sales to skyrocket and even had Rob Gronkowski himself do a fake TV trailer for a “Gronking to Remember” movie with HBO’s Funny Or Die.  (Not shown here because it’s pretty inappropriate – I’ve got standards.)
However, most press releases never accomplish that. Most press releases are just spray and pray. Nobody reads them, least of all the reporters and editors for whom they’re intended. Worst case, a badly-written press release simply makes your firm look clueless and stupid.
Unless the journalist has voluntarily agreed to honor the embargo in advance, usually via a legally binding non-disclosure agreement, the journalist is under no obligation to it. However, even in the absence of any obligation, news organizations generally do not break the embargo for sources that they wish to cultivate. If they do, then the agency or client that sent the release may blacklist them.
PR.com has a different layout than the other sites. Their categories are the main focus of their website which makes it easier to find what you’re looking for and allows for more qualified traffic to be exposed to your press releases.
If all goes according to plan, and your press release gets picked up by the media, your job still isn’t finished. To keep the buzz going, you release a second wave of distribution by sharing the specific stories that news outlets write based on your press release.
If the next social media marketing agenda is something worth hearing, why not put it at public disposal. The best way to do that is to put it all in a press release with the help of the following press release template.
Regardless of the package you choose from Free-Press-Release.com, including the free press releases, you’ll receive the advantages that come with visibility through indexing on the main search engines.
We included statistics in the press release of how many teenagers and young adults reported clearer acne after using our product, which I believe is what helped us gain over 8,000 followers on our Instagram and 3,000 on our Facebook account.
Thanks Nitisha. In the UK, at least, you can’t get a press release published in the traditional sense. You give or send it to the editor or journalist and if it’s a good story, they’ll decide to run it or not. You should study your target publications first to see if your story is relevant to their readership. If a publication wants to charge for your story, that’s not PR, that’s advertising. In that case, you decide what you want say and where you want it to appear. For more information on PR visit the CIPR or PRCA websites.

Giving back is what separates one company from another in a recent poll of Millenniums. Our customer base of B2B companies and nonprofit organizations crosses all generations, so we thought it was important to remind our customers that DollarDays’ social mission to help communities is a core component of our identity. And what better way to do that but to double the donations during the month of March.
The answers to these questions should always tie into your press release in some manner. If you’re releasing a new version of your product, your press release should tie in the fact that you created said product to help solve a particular problem.
6.     Use your news to get more customers. With today’s online press releases, the media is no longer the only audience you’re writing for. 80 million people get their news online every day. Many of these people are your customers. So, you need to keep your buyers in mind when writing your press releases. And no, that doesn’t mean turning your press release into an advertisement.
TV news viewers can often detect the use of VNRs within television newscasts; for example, many movie-star interviews are actually VNRs, taped on a set which is located at the movie studio and decorated with the movie’s logo. Another frequent example of VNRs masquerading as news footage is videotapes of particular medical breakthroughs, that are really produced and distributed by pharmaceutical companies for the purpose of selling new medicines.
Try to give a good reason for why a reporter in Pittsburgh would want to cover you: Is one of your band mates from the area? Did you have a particularly memorable experience the last time you visited? Maybe you’ve already been reviewed by a given writer and want to invite them to hear your new songs. Whatever the case, have a template that can be revised with each new recipient. Otherwise, your carefully crafted press release is likely to end up in a spam folder, or worse, the trash.
A premium website, however, will aggressively pursue journalists and work to ensure clients receive traffic for their PR, but this might not be necessary if you’re announcing a minor bit of news that doesn’t require such a large-scale PR effort.
Appearing in web searches may be valuable as a way of trying to put your news in front of people searching for your target phrases – though it is unlikely this will be effective where the target phrases are more than moderately competitive.
Don’t Beat Around The Bush. A press release is no place for jargon or inefficient communication. Make your point clearly and remove any words, phrases, and approaches that don’t help clarify your point immediately.
Available to all clients of Online PR Media, including those customers who opt for the free release option, is a live URL link. This is beneficial because it can be shared with clients, stakeholders, partners, and other interested parties.
As with many things in life, timing is crucial when sending your press release. Three to five days in advance is usually the right amount of time to ensure the editors can put someone on your story. Mailing a release too early is just as bad as mailing it too late – it will be put aside and forgotten. At least if your story is last minute, you may be able to telephone it in. Deadlines do vary depending on the type of media, so be sure and check with them in advance.
C. Summary line. If you haven’t lost journalists by now, this is where you have to convince them that your story is worth reading (and therefore that theirs will be too) so they go through more of your press release. You want to make clear what are the basics of your app and what makes it unique at the same time.
