pr distribution services acquisition press release example

Press release terms have you boggled?  Need more help?  Here are a few sites beyond the obvious to help you learn more (or services to hire).  In no way am I advocating hiring someone to do press releases for you, but the rule remains for an entrepreneur:  Learn to do it or hire someone to do it for you.
A book press release is a means by which you showcase your book to journalists and news organizations in an interesting manner.  Basically, you’re doing the work for the journalist or news publication by writing it for them.  The best news is (pun intended) that most will actually accept the same news story that others have accepted, which is aptly known as mass syndication.
I paid the extra fees for wider distribution and hyperlinks. (not included otherwise) BUT: PR.COM sends the release out with all links being nofollow! That makes it utterly worthless in terms of SEO. PR.COM strongly suggests using the extra service – paid hyperlinks – for SEO and never makes it clear they will do the links as nofollow.
Press release examples are business templates which can assist you greatly in writing a press release. The above-given sample press release templates are very useful and should you choose to use them as references, you will be able to write an effective press release easily and in a short time.
A good press release immediately grabs the reader’s attention by explaining why it’s relevant. For a product release, like the free ebook mentioned in this example, readers want to know who the intended audience is and how the product will benefit them.
Hi Tammy, many devs use presskit() as a way to give the press access to media. This free template allows you to both display your media on your website (so press can read/view without downloading), and provides links to download the zip files. You can get the template here.
Give your press release an attention grabbing title that’s to the point. You want to attract the attention of news reporters and readers. Keep the overall length of your press release short – this isn’t the right forum for verbose language. The writing should be concise and professional. While it’s not necessary to stick to a particular style guide, you should defer to the editorial guidelines of your PR distributor. Research existing press releases in your industry to get a feel for the style and tone. Insert just one hyperlink to your website from branded anchor text (eg. Wpromote). Choose a reputable PR distribution company (For example PRWeb or PRNewswire). The Panda updates penalized free submission PR sites much harder than established sites. Even pay sites have been penalized; however, they are working with Google to take steps to remedy this issue and stay legitimate.
Don’t be tempted to include background information about your company in the opening paragraph. This – along with any other additional information – can always be included in a notes to editors section at the end (it’s fine to run over to a second page for this).
Here’s a tip that I just recently found out, there are a few sites that resell prnewswire’s products. The one’s that I have tried Press Release Distribution to Major News & Media Outlets and www.onlineprnewscom . I’ve heard about ereleases too but haven’t tried them yet.
Get the basic structure down. All right, now that you’ve got the meat of it together, how do you put it onto paper? Well, for starters, cut it to length. It should be a page long at most, if that. No one’s going to waste time on 5 paragraphs unless you’re covering WWIII. Here’s what you need (some of which we’ve already covered):[3]
Just as a book title needs to be carefully chosen to interest potential readers, a press release needs a well thought out headline to make it stand out from the endless press releases journalists deal with.
The answers to these questions should always tie into your press release in some manner. If you’re releasing a new version of your product, your press release should tie in the fact that you created said product to help solve a particular problem.
For other material, link to the virtual press office on your movie website, where they can download your EPK, poster, additional images and other promotional material, as well as watch your teaser or trailer. Check out our EPK tutorial for more info.
No customer service is offered for the free press release distribution service. Customer service and help with your press release is available if one of our featured PR distribution packages is utilized.
Writing the story. Start with a good lead — a sentence that grabs your reader and makes her want to read more — for example, The fourth grade class painted one wall of their classroom with a picture so strange that their teacher immediately sent for the principal. Write your story plainly so that everyone can understand it. If possible, use quotes in your story to make it more interesting – for example, The flames were so hot I thought my helmet would melt, the firefighter said. And remember to answer the questions Who – What – When – Where – Why – How.
So what is the purpose? The purpose is to tell an engaging story that will interest the media to the point where they would like to do an interview and hopefully an article. The article is where you could potentially earn some significant exposure. To send a press release just to send one out is not recommended – you should always have a compelling story.
I’ve been a tech journalist for 20+ years and I couldn’t agree with Craig more: (a) there are some very good pointers in this article, but (b) watch out for the message coming across as a template-driven thing, and (c) for God’s sake never, ever send me a press release as a Word attachment! I honestly never look at them. Well, not unless I already know something about the topic and I know the sender. And then I’ll ask them to please not send me things like that any more. I know it sounds like a very grumpy attitude, but it’s just how it is. I’m sure the majority of journos feel the same about press release attachments. By all means consider these structure pointers but just put it all into the email body!
I read recently about a test of 60 different free press release sites. The winner of their test was PRUrgent.com because it was the only one that got them in Google News. Unfortunately, that site had low ranking scores, and still does, so I didn’t include it in this list. It might be worth trying, though. The second place was OnlinePRnews.com, which I’ve added to the list this year because it’s almost up to snuff with the others and lets you include a live link.
Search Engine Optimization. Most press release sites are designed to allow you to optimize your press release for search engines using tags, anchor text links, header tags, etc. If you’re not sure, look on the PR website for a statement about press releases being optimized for search engines (SEO).
Yves Rochard, president of CNMW had this to say, “We are delighted with our partnership with Laser Shooting Robots and look forward to introducing their product to the European market. There is a synergy between our two brands that we feel will result in a profitable relationship for both of us. We have already integrated their sales tools into our website and will begin manufacturing, and shipping Laser Shooting Robots as of February 2012.”
Are you wondering why it makes sense to use a paid press release distribution service when there are so many places you can publish information online at no cost? Here are a few reasons to invest in paid distribution.
On the Intertronics Making Pharmaceuticals stand no. 108 (24-25th April 2018 at Ricoh Arena, Coventry), there will be a range Thinky mixers on show which offer non-invasive mixing in a repeatable controlled planetary process. – March 04, 2018 – Intertronics
I tried PRLog, too, but I got stumped at the verifying the phone number. Does it have only to be US numbers? Thought it doesn’t say anywhere any limitation. But I tried Singapore numbers and the call don’t go through. Please advice. Thank you!
Distribute press releases to reach journalists, attract new customers and gain visibility online via top search engines, thousands of websites, social media, blogger networks, as well as via print, broadcast, radio, mobile channels, and more.
The list below started as a 20-something site list and has been slimmed down to four. After all, you only need one good distribution service, right? When PageRank was still active, we had removed all sites with a PageRank below 7 from the list because at these prices, they ought to offer high quality inbound links. I’ve stuck to that shorter list. The sites listed here are also known to cache your press release indefinitely. Some sites delete them after 90-180 days.
Credibility: We determined credibility by checking the SEO industry’s most trusted metrics: Majestic Trust Flow and Moz Domain Authority. This process eliminated most of the free sites in our list. We think paid sites should offer more link credibility in addition to bonus features, so we slimmed down our list to include only those with high scores, also.
