This paragraph is known as the boilerplate — an old newspaper term meaning a block of standard text that’s used over and over again (e.g. the explanation of symbols on the stock price page). In this case, it’s text that you might use at the bottom of all your releases.

What if you think the main marketing point is that the book is written by a semi-celebrity? I’m working with an author who is in 5 Halls of Fame, but he would only be known to older readers. The book would be appreciated by older readers but also mainstream readers. Should I still lead with what the story is about?
I’ll be honest in that I have very little experience in using free sites. My PR agency for high-tech clients has always used a paid service. However, that costs upwards of $500 per release, and now that I am helping entrepreneurs and small businesses get PR, I am asked this question all the time:
Example: A home security company is launching a new website with improved useability and customized features. Since the news is general and not talking about a specific product or service, we’ll usually point the links back to the company’s home page.
A common oversight that can render a press release ineffectual is a lack of contact information for reporters to follow up with. Whether you or someone else at the company is the point of contact, don’t forget to include an email address and phone number on the release (preferably at the top of the page).

The first thing you should put on your press release is your company logo at the top center of the page. If you are emailing your press release, you should also include a link to a high-resolution PNG of your logo.
I’m not sure which publications you’re talking about – local news has certainly been struggling in recent years, but several online publications have really taken off. That seems like a blanket statement that certainly isn’t true for all media outlets.
Press releases over the years have generally followed a standard format, including the same basic pieces of important information. And despite other changes to best practices, every press release still must include the following:
“ Unquestionably, you are doing a great job. I got tremendous response and clicks to my website www.onecentapixelads.com after I published a press release about its launch. I got all these great responses, of course free of cost. The fact is, I did not get such a massive response even for a paid press release. All these great works shows that you mean business and your entire team must be congratulated and I salute them. Thank you very much. ”
“There aren’t really a prescriptive number of pages or word count.” If I may add one important aspect from journalism school 101: any article for a newspaper (and a press release ideally ends up as an article “as if” the journalist had written it him/herself) needs to be structured in such a way, that you can clip from the end (!!!) without it losing stringency and closure. That is entirely different from creative writing. “A Winter’s tale” or an Agatha Christie whodunit would lose much, if not all, of its charm if you left out the last, say, two, paragraphs! But since (in the olden days) a piece of journalism needed to fit in with the rest of the layout (including advertising and late breaking news), whoever redacted a piece had to be able to cut off bits and pieces at the end without having to read, let alone reformulate the rest of the article. That said, this rule still stands today though space is not always a bottleneck in the digital world (but – you never know, maybe your press release even makes it into the print version!). So train yourself to write like a (good) journalist. If you don’t you could wonder for years what made your press releases fall by the wayside time and again.
To make things easier for bloggers and arts editors, make sure you have your social media assets available for easy re-use. You can prepare images that share nicely on social media or even offer a few pre-made shares for Facebook and Twitter and link to these from your press release.
