how do you send out a press release author press release

Don’t send these image files as attachments as they run the risk of being blocked by internal servers as spam. It’s better to include a line above the headline saying something like, “High resolution photos available from or ”.

Take advantage of the opportunity with this list of free press release websites and distribution services at least once a month on the internet.  Some might view a press release as marketing while others view it as education or information.  Regardless, if you do something worth shouting about in your business, then do so!  Press releases keep the world informed and possibly…improve the chances of getting found.
“There aren’t really a prescriptive number of pages or word count.” If I may add one important aspect from journalism school 101: any article for a newspaper (and a press release ideally ends up as an article “as if” the journalist had written it him/herself) needs to be structured in such a way, that you can clip from the end (!!!) without it losing stringency and closure. That is entirely different from creative writing. “A Winter’s tale” or an Agatha Christie whodunit would lose much, if not all, of its charm if you left out the last, say, two, paragraphs! But since (in the olden days) a piece of journalism needed to fit in with the rest of the layout (including advertising and late breaking news), whoever redacted a piece had to be able to cut off bits and pieces at the end without having to read, let alone reformulate the rest of the article. That said, this rule still stands today though space is not always a bottleneck in the digital world (but – you never know, maybe your press release even makes it into the print version!). So train yourself to write like a (good) journalist. If you don’t you could wonder for years what made your press releases fall by the wayside time and again.
Honestly, I can’t advise for a free PR company. It is always better to pay a little bit to have better results. I would recommend Press Release Jet as they offer the most affordable rates on the market (starting at 69 dollars) and they also have access to an impressive media contact list, guaranteeing syndication to over 400 media sites. Also, their writers are professionally trained in press release writing. They know how to craft and format your press release to get the attention of journalists and reporters and so far I am satisfied with their services. At the end of the day I think the way to find who offer the best services is simply try for yourself and find which one works best for you as only experience will tell you who is the best because they will all claim to have great services .
Now that we have told you about how you should you go about writing a press release, we are sure that you can write one on your own. But when you are writing, you must keep in mind the following tips;
Syndicate. Once I get confirmation of a published release on PRLog, I turn the rest of the manual submission work over to my team in India who follow Section five “Submitting Your Press Release To The Winners” to ensure we are efficiently executing dofollow links for our client.
Since the 1960s, the major agencies were provided with new opportunities in television and magazine, and news agencies delivered specialized production of images and photos, the demand for which is constantly increasing. In France, for example, they account for over two-thirds of national market.[7]
When done correctly, a press release is an excellent way to boost your business and spread the word about your newest offerings. Keep in mind, however, that learning how to write a press release for a product is a process, though, and there are skills that you need to know to execute the task properly. Fortunately, these things are easy to learn!
Most press releases are succinct at just a page long. Two pages tops. Ultimately, companies want to provide enough information so that news outlets have sufficient material for publishing their own stories about whatever the company is announcing in the release.
Press release terms have you boggled?  Need more help?  Here are a few sites beyond the obvious to help you learn more (or services to hire).  In no way am I advocating hiring someone to do press releases for you, but the rule remains for an entrepreneur:  Learn to do it or hire someone to do it for you.

The old standard is that a release should be similar to a story the journalist would write. Reporters often stick to a structure known as the inverted pyramid, which means the most significant parts or the story should be at the top, with everything getting less important as you go farther down the page. This ensures that even someone who just reads the top of the release will get the most important information, and makes it easier to cut text from the bottom for space.
Annie Jennings: This site has a wide range of media testimonials, although it is light on detail of exactly what you will get for your money, or even how much money you will be required to part with.  The unique angle to this service seems to be a focus on connecting authors with media opportunities, such as TV and radio appearances.
The last step in writing a press release is to write the phone number(s), fax, email, website addresses and other links for social media platforms where the business is active. In addition to this, you can also write about your business partners and potential clients in this section. Make sure you conclude the press release with a call to action.
Hello. Although I personally reckon this post is a bit prescriptive (I prefer devs to just say Hey, I’ve made a NEW THING! Here it is!, there are some good tips regarding content to possibly include. (Just, y’know, avoid doing the robot thing. I get 50+ PRs on a good a day (on a bad day, I get more), and many of them look identical in structure and that’s a FIVE-ALARM WARNING to bin every one of the things.) In terms of format, though, speaking as a journo, sending me a Word document is a really great way to get me to immediately delete your PR. Send the text in the *body* of the email, so I can easily access and search it later. Do not make me load up some other app or even fire up Quick Look to view your copy. (Also, a *huge* number of devs I know don’t use Word these days, threatening any fancy formatting. PDF’s fine for an online press kit, though—no problems copying and pasting from it, assuming you’ve done the PDF right.) And I’m sure this sounds grumpy as hell, but when you’re bombarded by email, you need to be able to filter things very quickly.
