My strategy was to present FreightCenter as an exciting place to work where there are many opportunities to grow. Right away, I supported this claim in my lead when I said FreightCenter will announce “a major overhaul of its company positioning and brand.” This statement was purposely used to create curiosity so the reader would continue reading. When writing a release, it’s very important to catch the reader’s attention in your lead. Do this by providing the most important information in a way that will compel the reader to read on. To further support my claim and satisfy the reader’s curiosity, I included a quote from our COO Doug Walls in the third paragraph. The quote should answer any questions the reader might have.

The above free press release submission sites offer options for distribution of free press releases, which can be an excellent choice for anyone seeking a budget-friendly way to get a message or newsworthy story to the public, as well as to influencers and journalists.
Submitting a press release via a Premium membership incurs additional costs per item. Again the amount of coverage the press release will get will determine the price. Reportedly prices range from 800-2200 USD, with the average being 1000 USD.
However, if you’re approaching someone who blogs or vlogs in the spare time, this rule may not apply. Follow them on social media, find out when they’re active (consider that they may be using Hootsuite or similar to schedule posts) and try to approach them when they are online. This way, you’ll be ready to answer any questions immediately.
If you’re ready for your press release to go out to the public right now, use the words “FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE” at the top of the press release. If you need to hold the release until a certain date, however (this is commonly the case in product launches), put HOLD RELEASE UNTIL before your specified date.
“I can’t believe how well this massage worked on my little Rembrandt!” exclaims Judy Neworth from Orlando, FL. “Every Fourth of July, my poor pooch was under the washing machine, shivering in fear. Not this year! This year I gave Rembrandt the massage I learned from the Dog Massage video and he slept through the entire fireworks show.”
It might seem trivial, but the most important part of your press release is the headline. Most journalists are incredibly busy, and their inboxes are overflowing with generic press releases. Unless you’ve got a snappy subject line, chances are that your press release will go straight in the bin without getting read. So, what constitutes snappy?
The short of the long (many great points mentioned in this article) is that make sure you are looking to distribute a press release for the right reasons and not to try and gain the system. When you do it properly, you can certainly earn excellent rewards.
Artezio will take part in the discussion of healthcare development in the USA. The company’s representatives will hold meetings with key participants of the conference in Las Vegas and share their experiences of technology system implementation.
If this is painting a bleak picture of what you can expect out of standard press release distribution via wire services, good. It’s meant to. I’ve got nothing against the distribution services, and we still use them at TCF (old habits die hard, plus press release distribution is included as part of our large and very expensive PR software package).
· TIER 1 Broadcast Networks (MSNBC and PBS)- They are indeed the only wire service that guarantees placement of your business news on top tier broadcast media sites like MSNBC and PBS with each order.
Just like writing the perfect blog post title, setting up your press release for success starts with your headline. You only have one line to work with, which can seem scary, but consider diction carefully to make your headline captivating.
Next on our list is PR Newswire. Like most sites, this one requires an account, which is not a difficult task if you have noted the information mentioned previously. You will have to provide your business email, as an email account from a disposable service (Yahoo, Google, Hotmail, etc.) will not be accepted. This is a standard concept, because many sites require a login. The login is necessary because most of the sites charge fees on per release, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis.
The biggest mistake you can make is sending out a blanket press release without knowing its recipient or recipients. Make sure if you’re sending a release about your country band that you’re not targeting a newspaper’s transportation reporter or movie critic. Get to know a little about the writer or writers you really want to target before you email them, whether that’s reading their work or following them on social media.
Hello. Although I personally reckon this post is a bit prescriptive (I prefer devs to just say Hey, I’ve made a NEW THING! Here it is!, there are some good tips regarding content to possibly include. (Just, y’know, avoid doing the robot thing. I get 50+ PRs on a good a day (on a bad day, I get more), and many of them look identical in structure and that’s a FIVE-ALARM WARNING to bin every one of the things.) In terms of format, though, speaking as a journo, sending me a Word document is a really great way to get me to immediately delete your PR. Send the text in the *body* of the email, so I easily access and search it later. Do not make me load up some other app or even fire up Quick Look to view your copy. (Also, a *huge* number of devs I know don’t use Word these days, threatening any fancy formatting. PDF’s fine for an online press kit, though—no problems copying and pasting from it, assuming you’ve done the PDF right.) And I’m sure this sounds grumpy as hell, but when you’re bombarded by email, you need to be able to filter things very quickly. Open the attachment to read about my new thing loses to My new thing is…
Although targeting is important and you should research every reporter you pitch, at the end of the day pitching is largely a numbers game. If your list of journalists to pitch your release to is only 3 lines long and you haven’t built a relationship with any of them yet, you’re unlikely to get any traction unless your news is truly spectacular. Typically, we pitch 20-100 journalists that we research in advance and reach out to individually (NOT in a mass email pitch to everyone at once).
This is the main body of the press release which means that this is the place where you share all the information you want to while making sure it is newsworthy. But before you go into writing the details, you first need to write the date and the name of the city where of the press release originated from. The body must answer all the important W’s (what, why, who, when and where) in the body of the press release.
