To double space or not to double space – it’s probably not necessary as most editing these days is done on computer, as long as your release is easy to read. Short paragraphs with a space between each and slightly wider than normal margins are helpful.
This paragraph is where you will explain your new product, your discovery or any advances that your company has made. You should also include quotes, if they are available. The reporter isn’t interested in helping you make money or driving visitors to your site. He’s looking for a story that will be interesting to his readers and pleasing to his editor. He could care less about your great selection, super customer service and commitment to quality. He wants to know only the info that will help him craft a good story about teens and their weight.
It’s not a bad idea to have a standard-issue press release with some contact information and details about upcoming dates. Try to be pithy, and get to the point. No one cares your band is on tour except you and your parents, so don’t lead with that right out of the gate.

Hi Sam! Thank you for the comment. The rule to always follow with a press release is if you don’t have something impressive to share/show, then don’t. It’s great that you have art assets done, but I’m not sure if that is enough to go on. Perhaps if you had a free, playable demo in addition to the art assets, or were inviting people to a beta, etc., then you could for the announcement-type press release, but without those extra, impressive items, I may hold off. Hope that helps.
