press release for new book new website press releases

Maintaining a digital presence is extremely important. In fact, nearly 8 out of 10 of people research a company online before visiting a small or making a purchase with them. Today, customers demand frequent communication in order to take action. They expect brands to be present across multiple mediums — search, social media, content […]
Our analysis of a distribution’s customer support covers various elements of communication across web, phone, and social media channels for individuals which would want to contact the distributor of the releases. We analyze their ability to communicate quickly and effectively with audiences including those submitting news releases, those publishing the news releases, and those which may be inquiring about the particular details of a release.
This press release gave us exposure in several dog magazines, including San Diego Dog and NOVADog (Virginia), online media such as Edge Media Network, a local radio station, and with local charities who promoted the event in their area.
What made this press release successful was the intersection of the exclusivity of the announcement (there were only a select few companies who were made official Shopify Plus partners in the first round, and we were one of them), the fact that it was newsworthy, and having a great partner tied into the announcement itself. The latter point was especially critical to the PR, and the notoriety of the Shopify brand really gave the release ‘legs’ in terms of how far it was distributed and the impact it made.
But, with so many people on information overload via social media, texts, and emails, how do you generate excitement? What elements should your press release include or exclude? How much information is enough? How much is too little? Should you send out a traditional press release, or would an online-only press release suffice? Including the following elements should give you a good outline of how to write a press release for an event, while generating a buzz that will tell your reader that yours is not an event to be missed! This is the place where you can write (briefly) about your company. You can put your company’s merits and achievements here, but don’t make it too long, since this will put you at risk of sounding like you’re hard-selling your company.
Don’t send large bulk emails. Some channels don’t want any email attachments or accept press releases only via their website. Find out about their preferences and send either individual emails or BCC’ed emails to small groups with similar requirements. When approaching a content producer individually, let them know that you’ve actually read or watched their work and understand the subjects they cover. Be genuine, not a suck-up.
Social Post: You create a customized tweet (typically your headline) and we will send this out via PR Newswire’s primary Twitter handle (@PRNalert) and up to 3 additional PR Newswire industry specific handles.  (List Attached)
You need to have the theme and anything that is newsworthy summarized very concisely and neatly, Selikoff says. The remainder of the press release is kind of fleshing out the story. But the main story has to get across in the first paragraph.
This may sound surprising coming from the owner of a digital PR agency, but I’ve got a love/hate relationship with press releases. If I’m being honest, sometimes it’s mostly hate (and primarily directed toward press release distribution services that make big promises and rarely, if ever, deliver). And I’m not alone: many pros in the PR industry are ready to dance on the grave of traditional press release distribution.
If possible, include a link to an online copy of the same release. It’s good practice to keep a log of all of your press releases housed on your own website. This can make providing such a link easier to produce, as well as keeping a record for historical purposes.
PageRank: Google uses a secret metric formula to analyze the credibility, popularity and trust of a website. This is called a PageRank. It can rank from 0 to 10 (with 10 being the highest). The most important component that adds to the strength of a PageRank is the number of quality backlinks from other websites.
News reporters are under a tremendous amount of stress to churn out stories. Consequently, any news item that’s delivered to them press-ready is a blessing. Translation: if you can craft a press release that already reads like a quality news story, it’s far more likely to get published. So, how do you write a news story?
This could be something controversial, something interesting, or something emotionally engaging. Avoid at all costs something bland, vanilla or dry. It’s better to leave this out entirely if you can’t think of anything relevant.
Instead of blasting a press release out to every journalist you can find an email address for, focus on a few journalists who have experience covering your industry (and company, hopefully) and send them personalized messages. Connect the dots. Show why what you wrote connects to what they write.
I read recently about a test of 60 different free press release sites. The winner of their test was PRUrgent.com because it was the only one that got them in Google News. Unfortunately, that site had low ranking scores, and still does, so I didn’t include it in this list. It might be worth trying, though. The second place was OnlinePRnews.com, which I’ve added to the list this year because it’s almost up to snuff with the others and lets you include a live link.
Product:  give details and specs for a new product, and accompany with photos whenever possible.  A product press release can also relate to a product recall, or a new or upgraded product version.  Example headline:  “New Software Application by ABC Company Available in August.”
But you have to be patient. Some publications may take several months to publish your press release. And then there are other publications that will print your release in a few days. It all depends on your news and their schedule.
