how to issue press release sample news release

“ Unquestionably, you are doing a great job. I got tremendous response and clicks to my website www.onecentapixelads.com after I published a press release about its launch. I all these great responses, of course free of cost. The fact is, I did not get such a massive response even for a paid press release. All these great works shows that you mean business and your entire team must be congratulated and I salute them. Thank you very much. ”
Always remember that many editing teams are overworked and understaffed. If you can make life easier for them, you’re more likely to get coverage. If you write a press release that’s close to the way the editor will actually publish it, it may see publication with minimal editing. But if you fill it with fluffy advertising copy, don’t use proper AP style, etc., the editor will surely delete this kind of fluff. Everybody says they’re the leader. Don’t waste the editor’s time. The place to put a description is in the company information section of the release. But keep it accurate and factual.
The press release should be accessible to non-expert readers. Try looking through published press releases for inspiration – archived press releases can be found at news services such as EurekAlert (http://www.eurekalert.org/) and AlphaGalileo (http://www.alphagalileo.org/) or on institutions’ and journals’ websites.
If your aim is to get your release to rank, you might want to check out a paid submission service such as PRWeb or PRBuzz. I’ve never tried either site personally and have read mixed reviews on their effectiveness.
So what is the purpose? The purpose is to tell an engaging story that will interest the media to the point where they would like to do an interview and hopefully an article. The article is where you could potentially earn some significant exposure. To send a press release just to send one out is not recommended – you should always have a compelling story.
“While free press release sites are tempting, I’d advise not to use them for distribution. Google has labeled many of them as spam. If you have a good news release that is worth getting out, spend the money and distribute it through a reputable site such as Business Wire, PR Newswire or Marketwired,” comments Sara Callahan, owner of Carter West Public Relations.
You use this template partly because the media don’t have time to plough through why the world needs a new widget or how it was developed (they simply want to know whether or not your new widget is of interest to their audience) and partly because the template makes it easy to cut the story to fit the space available. No need to edit. Simply cut from the bottom paragraph upwards.
And finally … aim high, but be realistic in your expectations. Most journalists are swamped with press releases, so it may take you a few attempts and a bit of chasing to land press coverage for your business. Don’t give up though; determination and a willingness to learn can take you a very long way.
A one line summary about the press release should be written underneath the headline. The summary should be very interesting and should be highlighted by strong vocabulary to capture the attention of the reader. Also, it should be written in such a way that it motivates readers to find out more of what is written in the main body of the press release. However, you should keep in mind that the headline and summary should synchronize with each other and maintain relevance to the news being discussed.
The truth is that many of the authors who do this didn’t get featured on the ABC or Fox that we know.  Their book press release showed up on obscure sub-affiliates of these major websites, like NBC Milwaukee or something like that.  It’s still NBC, right?  But not the one you immediately think of…sneaky sneaky.
Additionally, with a free PR account from PRLog, users have the ability to see the search phrases that are most commonly associated with their free press release, which will help them more efficiently create future press releases for SEO purposes.
As mentioned and linked to above, if you’re expecting the hundreds of backlinks that press release distribution services provide to rocket your site to the top of SERPs, you might as well be waiting for Godot. Here’s what happens when you upload and distribute a press release via a traditional wire service:
In the online world, the bar for publication is much lower – some sites auto-publish your release within minutes of submission. Others have basic guidelines that are easy to meet in order to get published. Since most releases never get read, the goal is get a dofollow backlink to help promote your website.
PR.com is a leader in paid and free press release distribution. To reach journalists, increase online visibility, and attract new customers, submit via our global online news and press release distribution service to top search engines, thousands of websites, social media, blogger networks, as well as via print, broadcast, radio, mobile channels, and more.
Thousands of news and releases go live daily. Not every author is aware that the bulk of these PR distributions end up undiscovered by desired reporters. Forbes magazine makes a startling statement. They state that the majority of businesses that publish a press release “wait for the inevitable flood of phone calls, emails and congratulations that never come. Even when they use a service like PR Newswire or Business Wire, many releases end up on page 67 of an independent TV station website in Reno, Nevada that few will ever read.”
