blog press releases sending press releases to journalists

Recently, Globe Newswire has upped its game by getting more heavily involved in reaching social media influencers and providing more in-depth analytics related to social media. If you’re releasing company information across the Internet, you want to know how it’s performing and who’s writing about it, and that’s the goal of Globe Newswire’s advanced analytics offerings.
The main goal of any press release is to garner the positive image of the business or company. Therefore, any press release which is written for positive purposes is considered as a positive press release because they have the positive spin to blanket even the worse situations if they arise.

General news:  announce a general news item to create interest and earn exposure for the company or organization issuing the release.  Example headline:  “ABC Company Wins Customer Service Award Three Years in a Row.”
Who – What – When – Where – Why – How. Almost all newspaper stories start off by answering most of these questions. Try to answer these questions in your story. For example: Sherry Smith won first place in the Cutest Pet contest yesterday at Columbia Mall. Check your local newspaper for more examples.
Unlike many sites, this site does offer a complete list of site submission. Users can search by state and find an extensive list of submission locations. This includes newspapers and magazines — a real plus for targeted small businesses.
I not sure if it’s worth placing PR on Market Wire and PR Web. Looking the organic traffic data, it seems that these PR sites as well as most of the PR sites out there were heavily penalized by Google’s recent algorithm updates. It’s not worth the money although you may reach a large audience because of their distribution services.
Take Catbrella Inc., a fictitious ad agency, which just gained its 10th Twitter follower after two years of paid social media efforts. To announce its achievement, Catbrella could issue a press release like the one we’ve dissected below.*
Remember, you are courting editors, journalists, or TV producers – not consumers. They’re not looking for fancy formatting and they certainly aren’t hoping to be impressed by a writer’s expansive vocabulary. Stick to the point and be sure to include the essentials. Press releases are usually no more than one or two pages long and contain complete media contact information, a headline, dateline, the body of the press release, and three hash marks that state, in journalistic terms, ‘THE END.’
This is a good list. Almost too good to be true–can you speak to the visibility and credibility of these free press release sites? We’ve already used one paid pr service, but are hesitant to pay a second one. We are a lean startup–we could allocate these services elsewhere. Thanks for the list, and thanks in advance for your valuable response!
We could not be more pleased with the recent distribution of our press release via iReach. The reach, combined with timing, made our product, Facebook AETracker, receive fantastic coverage throughout the web. We were overwhelmed by the leads — which we cannot complain about! This one ranks among the best marketing dollars we spent ever when it comes to ROI.
Thanks to the rise of free press release distribution platforms and free PR distribution sites, it’s now possible to get your content to a very extensive network all over the world, with minimal investments of time or money.

When an editor looks at your piece, he/she is thinking, from the first second, about how long it’s going to take them to get it to print. If your work is full of errors, lacking content, or just needs to be revised, they’re not going to waste their time. So make sure you have good grammar, all the basics, and have something to write about.
This last sentence or two focuses on the future. If you’re supporting a candidate, for example, you can say what date the election is held, and what the stakes are. If you’re advertising an event, you can note that it’s annual and the next one is already scheduled. Simply wrap up by looking ahead in some way. This is a very short paragraph, sometimes only a sentence!
Western Nevada FC Coyotes travel to San Diego, California this weekend to take on Albion SC. The Match is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm pacific time. The Coyotes have a tough test ahead after coming off their 2-0 victory in the Cup finals.
My Rating: I compute the above statistics and rate each site based on its credibility, traffic, popularity and the quality of results that it yields in the end (after the website distributes your press release).
Sounds pretty hopeless, right? I’m glad you enjoyed the article. I’ve emailed you the press release template in a few different versions so hopefully one will work for you. I’ve also updated the links in the article to include support for older versions of Word.

Changes, removals, and updates for the press releases distributed under our free package plus all paid press releases older than 30 days since their release dates at the time of the update request do cost $29 per press release, unless court ordered. Those requests will be taken care of by our PR editors on a first come first serve basis, and due to the large number of press releases running on our PR network, no estimates can be given as to when those changes will be made.
Service packages come with 60-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied after receiving your syndication report we will offer a full refund on the package purchased. Refund requests must be submitted by email within 60-days of order date.
The headline or “head” is your first chance to grab your reader’s attention and inspire them to keep reading. You should keep your headline short and to the point. Try to stay within the 80-170 characters range, and use language that is clear and easy to understand.
All of the above examples are just a few; there are and can be other examples as well which fit the description of a press release. You just need to remember this that you should write a press release effectively to make it newsworthy for the purpose of involving media and your target audience.
For something to be newsworthy, it must be something that audiences outside of your internal organization will care about; something that has significance to a reporter and their readers, viewers, or listeners, or to other external stakeholders (potential investors, etc).
Writers and journalists are always looking for good story opportunities to post on their publication’s website – no matter the size or amount.  In many cases, any legitimate story is better than no story.
