For your brand building it is better to share the articles written about you rather than just your own virtual press office – and don’t forget to add links to the articles to your “featured in” section on your EPK website.
An effective press release takes time and effort in order to be put together correctly. If you are just sending them out with no strategy or purpose involved, most of the time they simply fall on deaf ears.
In the not-too-distant past, businesses and SEO agencies used the sites as an SEO ploy. They would stuff low-quality news releases with keyword-filled backlinks and send them to scores of press release distribution sites in an effort to game Google’s algorithm. In response, Google’s 2012 Panda update severely penalized the sites. It rendered the SEO value of their links virtually worthless and classified many of the sites as spam.
Seek Inbound Links. The more inbound links they receive, the more respect they will earn and the higher they will rank in search engines. The higher they rank in search engines, the more visible your press release will become, and the more traffic you will receive.
First, plan on using an email address on an actual domain. A few sites don’t allow free email addresses (like Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail), so it’s good practice to use a standard email address for every site. I use “info@mikemunter.com” for all my press release testing and submissions.
Always simple and accurate, plus love the human backstop to the uploading front-end. They really make sure it looks good, and suggest alternate headlines & captions to improve readability. Great service.
Accuracy. Your writing might be wonderful, but if you don’t get the facts right, people won’t believe what you write the next time. Make sure everything you say is true. And spell people’s names correctly — they get upset when you don’t.
The site itself has a very busy homepage with press releases visible on the first page. There does seem to be a good mix of release topics if you dig into the site. Small businesses are mentioned alongside larger companies, but finding the information takes time to make sense of what is there.

FIRST PARAGRAPH: This 3-4 sentence paragraph should include who (the authors), what (the main finding), when (journal and date of publication), and why (relevance). Again, use the active voice and avoid scientific jargon. The first paragraph should be a stand-alone snapshot of the research.
Very nice and relevant post. Can you also explain how to get it published? Do you write keeping a publisher in mind? Or do you write and send to many publishers, to see who is liking the story and ready to publish? Do the publishers charge?

Two important factors that create a successful press release is its content quality and proper formatting. If your press release lacks both—or one of the other—then expect the editor to reject it.
Somehow I doubt the validity of this story, if you found her on Fiverr – and the customized PDF report is available through pretty much all standard press release services. Curious to know if these were copy/paste reruns of the press release or if it was unique coverage that resulted in actual media interviews and original stories.

The summary should be very interesting and should be highlighted by strong vocabulary to capture the attention of the reader. However, you should keep in mind that the headline and summary should synchronize with each other and maintain relevance to the news being discussed.
Next on our list is PR Newswire. Like most sites, this one requires an account, which is not a difficult task if you have noted the information mentioned previously. You will have to provide your business email, as an email account from a disposable service (Yahoo, Google, Hotmail, etc.) will not be accepted. This is a standard concept, because many sites require a login. The login is necessary because most of the sites charge fees on per release, monthly, quarterly or yearly basis.
Additionally, with a free PR account from PRLog, users have the ability to see the search phrases that are most commonly associated with their free press release, which will help them more efficiently create future press releases for SEO purposes.
