burger king issue press release using quotes in a press release

WASHINGTON — Demand Progress, Fight for the Future and Free Press Action Fund, which have organized many of the largest online protests in history, have announced Operation #OneMoreVote, an internet-wide day of action on Feb. 27.
This last sentence or two focuses on the future. If you’re supporting a candidate, for example, you can say what date the election is held, and what the stakes are. If you’re advertising an event, you can note that it’s annual and the next one is already scheduled. Simply wrap up by looking ahead in some way. This is a very short paragraph, sometimes only a sentence!
With the help of the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, the Plymouth Wayzata Youth Softball Association will be supplying their female athletes with functional equipment that will enhance the safety and experience for over 300 individuals. – March 03, 2018 – Plymouth Wayzata Youth Softball Association
In other words, sending out a hey, I just started a band press release isn’t going to be very useful. You’re looking for a hey, I am playing five shows at these venues in support of my recent album press release.
The United States and its partners continue to face a growing number of global threats and challenges. The CIA’s mission includes collecting and analyzing information about high priority national security issues such as international terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, cyber attacks, international organized crime and narcotics trafficking, regional conflicts, counterintelligence threats, and the effects of environmental and natural disasters.
I’d recommend pitching the writer first, with an angle specific to their beat. If a case needs to be made to the editor, it can fare better coming from the writer, who’s already had an opportunity to work out an angle with the PR rep. As an editor, I’m more likely to prioritize emails coming from those I have personal relationships with. These have been built over the years from the days when I was the writer presenting to my editors. Starting a new relationship with me as an editor, the most successful pitches have been those offering high profile interviews (editors that still write columns will want to take these for themselves before passing them off to junior writers) or highly specific content, like an original guest contribution. Recall the saying from growing up: “If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all.” Keep this in mind for press releases as well — “If you don’t have anything newsworthy to say, don’t write a press release at all.”
I love eReleases. I have found that they have the best results of any service online for the best price. Mickie and his team go above and beyond with customer service and I love that I can see that my release is actually read by members of the media. Thank you for your help in getting our news in fr
To be fair, we did expect this result, it is rare enough for someone to pick up news from some of the premium paid-for news wires and given the volume of free press releases being pumped out these days we would have been (pleasantly) surprised to find any pick up of our releases. When we did find a release that had been syndicated out to other sites none of those other sites came across as ‘high quality’, they were invariably loaded down with banner and AdSense advertising.
I originally wrote a more traditional (read: boring) release around our company’s 25th anniversary but after getting bored just proofreading I decided to scrap the whole thing and make it something people would actually enjoy reading. The press release not only conveyed our message, but by taking a tongue-in-cheek approach, it also conveyed our brand’s fun-loving personality.
This could be something controversial, something interesting, or something emotionally engaging. Avoid at all costs something bland, vanilla or dry. It’s better to leave this out entirely if you can’t think of anything relevant.

24-7 Press Release is an Alexa U.S. top 15,000 website. The ranking is based upon website traffic estimates and browsing behavior, and it means that a site has a high enough regular traffic count to be included in the ranking.
TITLE: Keep it short and enticing, and use the active voice. Avoid including too much scientific detail in the title. For example, “Cancer cells communicate through a new molecular messenger” is a better option than “Microvesicle-derived microRNAs are important for intercellular signaling in tumorigenesis”.

When you send a press release, it’s a good idea to include a short outline of your idea (no more than a paragraph) and where you think it might fit in the publication you’re pitching to. Paste your press release underneath, as a busy journalist may not bother to an open an attachment. Photos can be helpful if they add something to the story, but avoid sending big files that will clog up peoples’ inboxes.

You must put a name to the quote. Journalists despise having to quote faceless representatives. When businesses choose to hide behind the word “spokesperson”, it demonstrates a clear lack of resolve. Tell the world exactly who in your company thinks what, and busy reporters will be eternally grateful.
Since a press release is supposed to look and feel like a story in a newspaper, it’s important to include a location and date stamp at the beginning of the first paragraph. Something like, Palo Alto, CA – February 5, 2007. Like a standard news story, the first sentence, or lede, should summarize the main news of the press release in 25 words or less [source: Concept Marketing Group].
To get all of these pretty little amenities nicely wrapped up with a big, red bow on top, you’ll have to play by the rules. In this regard, it’s better to think of press releases the way you would think of being covered in a tier-one newspaper for a major story.
Use active verbs rather than passive verbs to keep the reader interested in your story – Active verbs are words that show that someone or something takes an action, such as, “State delegates from the National Organization of Women marched on Capitol Hill today demanding better health care for single mothers.” In this sentence, marched is an active verb showing movement. Passive verbs show that someone or something is being acted upon: “Capitol Hill was besieged by unicyclists on Saturday.”
